Classical Encounters

Musical entertainment tailor-made for your special event.

Classical Encounters was founded by opera singers Sally-Ann Shepherdson, soprano, and Trevor Alexander, baritone. With their combined experience of performing in opera and concert in many prestigious venues throughout the world, they are ideally suited to organise and present entertainment for every kind of event. Concerts and after-dinner entertainment can be adapted to suit all tastes and budgets and, with a scrupulous attention to detail, the use of highly experienced performers, and their unique and light-hearted performing style, Classical Encounters are sure to turn your event into a truly memorable occasion.

From a soloist at a wedding or funeral, to an Opera Gala or Last Night of the Proms concert, Classical Encounters can perform in any venue from drawing rooms to care homes, golf clubs, luxury hotels, Livery Halls, cruise ships and outdoor events.

Classical Encounters’ repertoire includes a wide selection of themed concert programmes for two to four singers accompanied by a pianist or backing tracks. These semi-staged, scripted shows, which are particularly suitable for dinners, charity events and corporate entertainment, are presented in a relaxed and light-hearted manner and encourage audience participation in some of the most popular  melodies ever written.

Thank you once again for coming such a long journey yesterday to entertain us so delightfully. Everyone enjoyed your performances very much indeed and your choice of programme brought back many memories.”
